Styling : I LOVE Holidays

Hello,
I figured I have not done one of these in a while and because I am about quality over quantity I thought I should create a set which is relevant to my life right now and that is Summer in South Africa. This comes with the need to be comfortable but look stylish and cool. When the sun is out, I still like to wear black and who does not love black? Here are my picks of some essential if you are needing some outfit inspiration for that beach party on the 26th or that sunset pool party you and your friends are planning, you can never go wrong with a good outfit and great company :)

Lookpost (a bit of a throwback)

It's almost Spring! And this is a collaboration I did last year with my photographer friend Lindsay. Dugaries x flowercrowns are sure to make a comeback this Summer and Spring, looking forward to festivals and longer days. x

Styling

One of my loves is fashion, if you haven't already figured that out and on my quest to find my strengths I have helped some friends along the way when it came to styling. Since I am writing exams and haven't had any time to do any lookbook features I decided to post a few pictures of a photoshoot I did for "Clothe Her By Charlie Rose" a second hand clothing en devour. I love the new rise in fashion that is dark and edgy for the past year or so and I can definitely say that street style has always been my favourite, mixed with a little old school sass this shoot was a memorable one.

Winter Warmers

The title of this post pretty much sums up the idea of what I mean by the following sets, one can't have everything they dream of but while I'm a student and am currently unemployed I can still lust for these trendy goodies. As a student it is easier and much more cost effective if you can mix 'n match items. I would definitely wear all of the following items and I think that winter makes it easier to be fashionable because of layers and hats and boots, ah boots! what would you add to this list?

MET Gala Ball 2014

I am reluctant to actually create a post on any fashion event because I have a certain aesthetic that I want to uphold on my blog, one that shies away from glitz glamour and celebrity gossip because aren't there enough websites and magazines that feature that? right, anyway I hold a special exception for the MET Ball because of what it stands for, it is not only an event where influential people come to flaunt their attire so to speak but a celebration of art which saw the museum celebrate the opening of its exhibition dedicated to couturier Charles James, many embraced "old school elegance" in the most wonderfully romantic and edgy way. There were obviously some stand outs and those are the ones that I have chosen to feature in this post. From my picks, it is clear to see that I preferred the more minimal looks as opposed to those that took the theme too literally.(eek!)

Feast your eyes.
